Spectrum Big Band has been at the forefront of the jazz scene in Canberra since 1998, where it began as the Canberra City Show Band, part of the not-for-profit Canberra City Band inc.

Lead by Music Director Andrew Kimber, Spectrum is a 20-piece big band that performs a diverse repertoire celebrating jazz classics and pushes the boundaries of modern jazz into the future.
